VinFast has made a public announcement regarding the debut of its two electric SUVs, the VF 6 and VF 7, in the Indian market on September 6, 2025. The automaker from Vietnam, which entered the Indian market in January this year, is already on the pre-booking stage which can be done at a refundable fee of Rs. 21,000. Furthermore, VinFast is significantly scaling up its dealership distribution in the country’s metropolitan and tier 2 cities.
Official Launch Schedule and Reservations
VinFast stated that the two electric SUVs’ prices will be disclosed on the day of their launch, which is VF 6 and VF 7 on September 6. Both SUVs can be booked online as well as at the brand’s physical locations, which is a sign of the brand’s first penetration into the Indian market. The company is looking to set up 32 physical locations in 27 cities in the country spawning in Delhi, Gurugram, Chennai, Bengalore, Pune, Jaipur, to name a few. Furthermore, the SUVs will be manufactured at VinFast’s Thoothukudi plant in the state of Tamil Nadu, which has an initial production capacity of 50,000 units per year with the future to scale production.
Model Highlights and Features
The VF 7 is fully loaded with features such as a panoramic glass roof, ventilated front seats, wireless charging, and a large touchscreen infotainment system. It also includes Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) such as cruise control and lane-keep assist. The vehicle is offered in three trims, Earth, Wind, and Sky, and equipped with a 70.8 kWh battery pack. The VF 7 provides an option for front-wheel or all-wheel drive. The vehicle is projected to provide 350 hp and a range of 431 to 450 with a single charge, depending on the variant.
The VF 6, now marketed as a family electric SUV, comes with a 59.6 kWh battery pack. It also includes onboard Level 2 ADAS, an infotainment system, signature LED lighting, and a panoramic roof. Indian consumers will find both SUVs appealing as they combine convenience, performance, and smart technologies.

VinFast’s expansion into India sequentially follows its plans for global reach and promotion of electric mobility. To make the company’s products reliable and competitively priced in the Indian market, local assembly is emphasized.
