New Hero Splendor Electric 2025

For years, India’s middle-class commuters have relied on the Hero Splendor, which is often referred to as the “heartbeat” of the commuter’s motorcycle. Hero MotoCorp plans to release Hero Splendor Electric in 2025, which aims to carry on the legacy of the Hero Splendor by maintaining affordability and practicality while also being eco-friendly.

Impressive 240km Range

Most Hero MotoCorp’s competitors in the commuter segment offer vehicles with a 120-150 KM range, which is a huge disparity from the 240 KM range Hero plans to offer. With the Splendor Electric, rider’s biggest concern of frequent charging is simplified.

No Petrol, Only Plug-and-Play Convenience

The new Splendor Electric also claims to remove the traditional fuel tank by replacing it with a lithium-ion battery pack. This not only allows easy charging with household outlets, but is also durable. As a commuter motorcycle, reducing downtime with fast-charging support can further enhance user experience.

Familiar Yet Modern

Long-time loyal customers of Hero can expect to see a large portion of the classic Splendor design to remain. This will allow for a gradual transition to electric vehicles while keeping the external design familiar. As with the other models, expect the bike to continue with the easy-to-use, simple, and commuter-friendly ergonomics while incorporating the modern features of an EV such as a digital instrument gauge, LED lighting, and improved aerodynamics.

Performance and Ride Experience

According to the industry insiders, the non-disclosed specs of the model will include an electric motor with seamless acceleration which will be ideal for the stop-and-go traffic in the city, so long as its commuter-friendly focus and efficiency don’t compromise the Splendor’s design ethos. It will prioritize dependability first and efficiency within the electric motor to be aligned with the bike’s commuter DNA.

Price Expectations and Market Placement

Hero’s market positioning of the Splendor as the affordable motorbike for the masses will also be incorporated for the electric model, which industry insiders believe will be offered at the same price. In light of the shift to battery-powered vehicles, the Splendor Electric’s price is projected to be around ₹1.1 – 1.3 lakh (ex-showroom) and Shown price will be modified according to battery configuration. Taking government EV subsidies into account along with the Splendor Electric’s reduced operational and maintenance costs, it could become more affordable than the petrol variants in the long term.

Charging Infrastructure Push

As successfully expanding the EV charging infrastructure and home charger subsidization will be a primary focus for Hero’s investments, the charging network for EV vehicles is already on the rise in major metropolitan areas of India which expect home charger and station upgrades to be implemented soon.
