The 2025 Honda CR-V marks a significant return to the Indian market for Honda, as the company plans to reissue one of the market’s favorite SUV, the CR-V. According to Honda, the SUV will now feature bold aesthetics, modern technology, and better fuel economy, with the price point expected to hover around ₹28 lakh (ex-showroom).
The Honda CR-V seventh generation is sharper and offers a bolder, more muscular styling, along with a more distinguished LED headlamps and sharper body lines that offer a more premium road presence. Honda also offers better rear aesthetics with reworked, sportier signature vertical tail-lamps. In addition to the updated styling, consumers will also have the chance to purchase 19-inch alloy wheels that were offered on higher trims.
Honda is known for their innovations in car technology, and the 2025 CR-V is no stranger to that. The CR-V is identified to have a 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine with a CVT transmission on the India variants. There is also a possibility of a strong hybrid version. With the strong hybrid, the e:HEV technology by Honda offers a fuel economy of 19.5 km/l, which is efficient for both long-distance travelers and city users. Top trims may also come with all-wheel drive.
Safety and Features
The new CR-V will also get the latest Honda Sensing ADAS which comes with adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist, collision mitigation braking, and traffic sign recognition, making the car safer to drive. Airbags, 360-degree camera, and electronic stability aids are available for all models.
Positioning in a Competitive Segment
The new Honda CR-V will be positioned in the same segment as the Hyundai Tucson, Jeep Compass, Citroën C5 Aircross, and the new Toyota Corolla Cross.
